Apple Fritter strain is an award-winning cannabis, which is famous for its heavy-hitting properties and delicious flavors. It represents an evenly balanced hybrid with a 50/50 Indica/Sativa ratio. This cannabis appeared thanks to the efforts of Lumpy’s Flowers stationed in California. Though the parent strains are not precisely known, Apple Fritter weed is believed to be a result of crossing Sour Apple and Animal Cookies. On average, it carries an overwhelming THC content ranging between 22-32% and CBD levels of only about 0.38-0.65%.

Despite it being rather tasty, this weed is well-known for its potency. Therefore, it may not be very suitable for beginners, and even experienced tokers are recommended to handle it mindfully. Among other significant facts about this kush, it’s also necessary to indicate its terpene profile, which consists of phellandrene, limonene, caryophyllene, pinene, myrcene, ocimene, humulene, linalool, and terpinolene.

Tastes and Flavors

The flavor profile pairs well with its name, providing a sweet taste that resembles pastry. That sweetness harmonically combines dominant apple flavor with the subtle presence of strawberry. Continuing that palette, the taste is highlighted by a vanilla-like flavor on the exhale. At the same time, the aroma is very like the same, differing with only a mild herbal note. When creating such a complex flavor profile, the primary responsibility falls on phellandrene, which ensures the sweetness, apple, and strawberry presence. Caryophyllene slightly affects sweetness and cooperates with limonene to create that subtle vanilla hint.

Fans of Apple Fritter weed also recommend paying attention to the Berry Pie strain, although it is a pure sativa, they say these two strains have something in common in aftertaste and effects.

Apple Fritter Strain Effects

Although its appearance may be a bit deceptive, the high comes in no time, putting everything in its place. Right after the first tokes, it’s easy to feel a wave of euphoria and creativity that simply doesn’t leave enough time for the appearance of any negative thoughts. Then, it flows into a very relaxing body high, which begins with tingles and gradually relaxes the whole body. Though it doesn’t induce some powerful sedative effect, in most cases, consumers prefer to lie on the couch doing nothing but resting in bliss. Such a combination is a perfect way to fall asleep, thus making this cannabis the best for nighttime consumption.

In addition to producing a wholesome experience, this potent bud has an extensive list of medical benefits. For example, it can help to relieve such disorders as:

  • Pain
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia

Regarding the possible side-effects, the smoker might face the following:

  • Thirst and dry mouth
  • Headache
  • Hunger

Apple Fritter Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 27.5 - 30.5%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.38 - 0.65%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.11 - 0.78%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.25 - 0.76%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.08 - 0.27%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.34 - 1.23%

There is something about this strain that reminds me of Berry Pie. Maybe its in the taste or sweetnes of it. I can use the two of them interchangably but if you are a picky stoner you may want to know this one has some Indica in it.

I lit a blunt to my sorrows and puffed severally. I could saw my sorrows vanish in the clouds together with the smoke of the reefa. This reefa may never replace my beloved wife, but made the grieving process easier.

The citrus flavor leaves your mouth yearning for more. Before, I knew it, I was laughing euphorically. If you're a person of class and prestige, this should be your choice. However, you should tread with care, the high THC content in this weed, can get the better of you.

Rumor has it that it is the strongest weed there is. So true to their word based on my firsthand experience. One blunt was enough to get me high as opposed to the usual 5 - 6 rolls. Go slow on this one if you're a beginner. You may not like the results if you're a newbie.

First timer to this strain. Experienced more than 20yrs. 2 puffs to take off. Incredible for pain. I usually dose a lot in order for pain reduction but 2 puffs and 20 mins later I am still pain free. No couch lock for me. Pain free gets me moving. Great for mental fog and flight of ideas people -like me. This seemed to clear my mind but still allowed me to think -about one subject at a time which is far from how I work. Keeps me focused on my artwork and allows me to be creative and yet -not manic. Great strain. Only wish I knew of it sooner.

My brother used to grow this herb a Longtime ago and we would get really fucked up after sharing only two blunts, he said its THC levels are through the roof and it wasnt that bad tasting. I still smoke it occassionally during the weekends when I really just want to chill and sleep.

Used to smoke this in a bong a lot with friends back in college, it is one of my favorites and my go to kush for parties right now but I wouldnt recommend having during the week unless you have sleeping problems. It takes some time to get used to if youre a beginner a few drags might be fine or one joint if your tolerence is really high

I wouldnt recommend this kush to smokers who are just starting out, its just too strong youll get high as a kite in just one blunt and I dont want even imagine how high youll get if you eat an edible. Yeah the high will feel great as fuck and make you want to smoke more but the drawback will eat you alive, you wont be able to do anything but sleep once the high is over

FAQ

The flowering time for Apple Fritter is usually around 44-51 days, and the harvest time is only 59 days. It is quite short compared to strains with similar genetics. When the plant is in its blooming period, it bursts into deep forest green leaves and long spear-shaped buds, forming a dense growth that tells you exactly that the strain has begun to bloom.
Apple Fritter is a hybrid strain that was created by Clearwater Genetics. There’s not enough evidence as to what strains are the parents of Apple Fitter, but it’s believed that it’s being produced by crossing Sour Apple and Animal Cookies. The taste of the strain is very sweet. However, as the name suggests, its dominant flavor is apple, which brings a nice hint of sourness to the weed profile.
