Black Mamba seeds, perhaps named after the venomous African snake or Kill Bill’s vengeful bride, is one of the many strains available on the market. While there are three or four other types of cannabis bearing a similar name, this is a hybrid containing 80% Indica. This kush traces its genetic lineage to a cross-breed between the Black Domina and Granddaddy Purple (GDP).

It has a high THC content that ranges between 19% and 21%. This gives the strain its psychoactive effects, which makes it ideal mostly for the experienced user. Conversely, it has a low CBD content of approximately 1% that can go as high as 3% giving it some of its medicinal benefits.

Black Mamba Effects

It has Indica leaning effects that vary depending on the amount consumed by the user. It has a cerebral and euphoric high that users will feel immediately after inhaling the first puff. These hard-hitting effects don’t last for long and soon a sense of feeling light creeps in followed by heightened senses. Consumers name such effects:

The CBD levels contribute to its medical effects. Users choose it to cope with:

Like any other strain of weed, this one also comes with negative effects associated with its use. It’s not suitable for novices due to its potency, and when taken in high doses, it can knock the user out or result in a state of couch-lock. Nonetheless, users can still experience dry mouth and dry eyes, a common effect across different strains that you can remedy by proper hydration.

Aromas and Taste

Unlike other strains, Black Mamba marijuana has a smell and aroma that makes it stand out the moment you get a whiff. Many describe its smell like a mix of sweet-sour grape with a rich aroma of woody pine. When you break the hard bud using a grinder, expect to get a strong herbal scent.

It has a similar flavor to its aroma, but much sweeter. While the smell of berries is unnoticeable, it’s very distinct when you take a puff due to the plant’s terpenes-rich oils. The blend of fruity flavors and smells makes it a delight among avid smokers.

Grow Info

Black Mamba strain is popular among growers due to the ability to convert it to wax concentrates and other medicinal products. It also produces great yields when cultivated both indoors and outdoors.

Growing Black Mamba strain is moderately difficult both indoors and outdoors under Mediterranean conditions. Due to these conditions, it’s best to grow it outside. The plant takes 8-10 weeks to flower and harvest. It has very high yields of 16-oz for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. It can achieve a height of up to 16-feet when grown outdoors.

CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.2 - 0.74%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.32 - 0.42%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.32 - 0.8%

Sometimes I LOVE this strain, other times it gives me panic attacks.. depends entirely on the grower & pheno you get a hold of. I mainly smoke to help with insomnia & chronic pain/tension. The indica leaning pheno (gdp x black domina) is maybe my favorite strain ive tried yet. Smoke tastes of sweet fruit with a tinge of pine.. Super strong body effect bringing pain relief & tingles + a calm happy euphoria that makes for an effortless sleep. The sativa pheno (unconfirmed parents) has basically the same body effect but with a very focused, stimulating euphoria. Very strong taste of pine, oranges, hops. This one makes me super anxious & keeps me up when trying to sleep. tl;dr trust your nose with this strain! If you're able to get a report on the terpenes I would definitely encourage you to.

Wow, I was not ready for THAT! I absolutely disagree with BoBB, the taste of the berry dominates, and you can enjoy the high for hours. It all started with a slight buzz, then my mood improved and I wanted to talk and talk and talk. Best Indica in the wor

I don’t understand why everyone likes this weed so much.. As for me, the mediocre effects and berry taste are almost not felt, it seemed to be more earthy. The only advantage over many other strains is that it really helped me fall asleep.

I really enjoy the plant I’m at home grower. I grow indoors, and I have cloned off my first clone eight times. So I am now on my ninth generation grow. I really enjoy the high it is definitely gotten better as I’ve learned how to grow it. Funny how it’s turned into more of a sativa plant over a couple of years.
