The DNA Genetics x Crockett Family Farms product came together to produce the Sativa and Indica 50/50 hybrid called Citrus Sap Weed. It is bred using Tangie as the genetic base for its sweet orange terpenes profile. Given its orange-fruity nature, the name citrus sap unarguably feels just right for this little dense bud.

The strain contains 18-22% THC and almost no CBD. Its moderate potency makes it a wonderful choice for both seasoned and novice smokers.

Flavors and Aromas

As its name suggests, Citrus Sap strain produces a strongly squeezed citrus concentrate smell that is subtly complemented by an undertone of wood which combines and release an aroma once the buds are broken apart. Its sweet orange terpenes undertones are released upon combustion. The taste of the Citrus Sap weed reminds of ripe mandarin oranges. Users should be able to taste that sweet, tangy taste of citrus when inhaled. There’s also a taste of wood that blends interestingly with the citrus feel in the mouth on the exhale.

Citrus Sap Weed Common Effects

Fast in its effects, this strain shows itself right after a few minutes after a toke. Users report such typical properties:

  • Energetic
  • Euphoria
  • Creative
  • Relaxed
  • Body-buzzing

Medical consumers use this weed to combat such conditions:

A major side effect of this weed strain is that it contains moisture-inhibiting cannabinoids that interfere with saliva production. A cottonmouth along with the redness of the eyes as it dries is to be expected when smoking Citrus Sap.

A more uncommon side effect of using Citrus Sap weed is anxiety and paranoia due to the sharpening of the senses. Usually, these symptoms are limited to disorienting dizziness; it is still advised to consume with caution.

Growing Tips

The plant is relatively tall, an indication of its Indica lineage. However, despite its stretchy build, its stalks remain sturdy along with its branches, making it suitable for cultivation in certain degrees in the northern hemisphere.

Its flowers quite early as an adaptation tendency to the cold don’t be deceived, though; this strain prefers long hours of sunlight to any cold. To increase yields, growers in cold regions especially may need to extend the flowering period for a few more. While outdoors, experts suggest that you temporarily enclose the plant to help circulate warmth and protect it snows in early winter.

Growing this plant indoors presents a more controllable environment. For example, growers can easily control Lighting by a simple change in the lighting fixture to HPS systems. Temperatures and humidity can also be easily monitored and adjusted through the installation of fans or a ventilation system.

If lets to flower for 8 to 10 weeks, growers can expect a harvest of approximately 14 to 18 ounces of buds per square meter. It is also possible to increase yields through plant training and manipulation.

Citrus Sap Weed Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 18 - 22%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.34 - 1.32%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.37 - 0.87%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.17 - 2.31%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.31 - 0.3%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.38 - 1.37%

Pinene Pinene is one of the most widespread terpenes in nature, found in pine trees, basil, nutmeg, parsley, and rosemary. Cannabis containing terpene (alpha-pinene or α-pinene) boasts a strong pine scent. Pinene is responsible for anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and anti-anxiety effects. 0.29%
Ocimene Ocimene (derived from the Ancient Greek word Ocimum meaning basil) is a terpene with sweet and herbaceous flavors, also boasting citrusy and woody undertones. Naturally, ocimene occurs in mint, parsley, orchids, hops, kumquats, mangoes, basil, bergamot, lavender, and pepper. Offers antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties. 0.17%
Humulene Humulene (also known as α-humulene) is one of the major terpenes found in cannabis, contributing to woody, earthy, spicy, herbaceous, and, mainly, floral aromas of cannabis. Used in modern medicine, humulene offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and appetite suppressant effects, which have been well-researched by pharmaceutical companies. 0.26%
Sabinene Sabinene is a terpene with a peppery, spicy, citrusy, and piney aroma, presented in Norway spruce, Holm oak trees, black pepper, cardamom, and carrot seeds. Found in cannabis in small quantities. Allegedly, sabinene has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. 0.23%
Phellandrene Phellandrene (also known as alpha- and beta-phellandrene) is one of the rare terpenes found in cannabis with antihyperalgesic and antidepressive properties. Phellandrene contributes to a minty, woody, and mildly citrus aroma in cannabis. Previously confused with limonene and pinene, phellandrene was eventually distinguished as a separate terpene common for eucalyptus. Also, it could be found in mint, dill, black pepper, cinnamon, parsley, pine, and lavender. 0.06%
Total terpenes content 1.01%
