Relaxed

If you are looking to unwind after a hard day, Grape Ape is perfect for a cozy, chilled night in. There is some debate about the exact point of creation of this strain. It is believed that Bret Bogue, owner of Apothecary Genetics, is the one who first put forth the original, Indica strain. If you want to try to grow it you can find Grape Ape seeds feminized on our website.

This tastes on inhale sickly candy sweet grape berries with a spicy woody musk on exhale. Very easy going, slows down the mind and body, heavy indica with euphoric pain relief. Good pain meds for your aging aching body, this flies off the shelves, get the concentrate of this if you are a patient. Newbies be warned possible anxiety trigger. Veterans can deal with initial headrush to an extent. This is a classic indica creeper. Be careful!!!

Flavors and Fragrances

This is an incredibly pungent strain. With just a single whiff, you will be able to inhale the strong scent of berries, perhaps even candy. The one thing that you won’t be able to deny is that this definitely smells sweet. This strain has a distinct grape flavor, although it isn’t unusual to get a hint of berries as well. Candy lovers may even be able to liken the flavor to that of a grape Jolly Rancher. If you are a slightly more seasoned enthusiast, then a subtle musky aftertaste may be identified.

Grape Ape Reported Effects

It can take a while for the strain to set in. It begins to slowly spread through the body until all your muscles are completely relaxed. Users report that it offers up the following effects:

  • Relaxed
  • Uplifted mood
  • Happy feeling
  • Sleepy

In addition to its wonderful mental benefits, it also offers up a few physical respites as well. Due to this, you can often find the strain being prescribed to counteract the following issues:

  • Pain
  • Stress
  • Insomnia
  • Nausea
  • Depression

While this strain has its uses, it is important to remember that it can be quite potent. This, of course, is due to the significant Grape Ape THC level. As such, it may not be uncommon to have to contend with these side effects:

  • Dry mouth
  • Dry eyes
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Paranoia

Information for Breeders

To begin with, the plant can be grown both indoors as well as outdoors. The most preferable climate is warm – not hot. So, moderate temperatures are key here. Want to grow the Grape Ape strain outdoors? Then you can expect a yield of around 28 ounces per plant. When indoors, there are about 3 ounces per square foot.

The final piece of the Grape Ape strain growth info puzzle is the flowering time. The good news is that this strain doesn’t take very long to mature. However, there is some discrepancy depending on where the plant is grown.

Hope you know what you're talking about Alicia. My grow is almost ready and my marijuana use is totally medicinal. I have terrible anxiety especially when my hubby leaves for work. I keep thinking of the worst case scenarios and my therapist got me on weed which has been helping.

Sucks a great deal that the indoor yield is so insufficient. Thought i was about to hit the mega jackpot of all yields only to get 10 ounces for all my five plants. Pretty DISSAPOINTING but hey we move and we learn.

I want to say that this plant is not difficult to grow, but it is sensitive to temperature changes and therefore it is better not to overdo it with heat. I got a rich harvest even though the effort was small BUT it is worth using fertilizers moderately

Strain details

Grape Ape Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 18.5 - 20.75%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.34 - 0.68%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.4 - 0.82%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.5 - 0.84%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.06 - 0.16%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.14 - 1.07%
