Jackfruit is a 70/30 Sativa dominant strain from an unknown breeder. They were able to create an interesting cross between Grapefruit and Captain Jack while maintaining the best qualities of the parents. Despite the strain leaning towards Sativa, the Indica effects are quite present here too.

Jackfruit Cannabis Strain Main Flavors

Smokers mark the smell and taste of this weed as its best properties. And no wonder, after the first puff your mouth will fill with juicy orange and lime flavors. The aroma of this strain is also citrusy but also has apple and tar notes.

There are no seeds for this strain, but you can purchase seeds from the parent strain:

  • Uplifted
  • Tingly
  • Focused

  • Muscular dystrophy

But beware, smoking high doses can cause side effects such as low blood pressure or nausea.

Growing Info

The bushes of this marijuana strain can be grown both indoors and outdoors. You can also use a greenhouse. In all cases, the flowering period is between 53 and 59 days, but the greatest yield is expected if you cultivate it outside. If you are looking for a strain with a happy effect, you can try the soap strain yield.

Jackfruit Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 18 - 22.5%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.1 - 1.08%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.36 - 0.54%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.12 - 1.48%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.17 - 0.16%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.46 - 0.78%

Jackfruit Terpene Profile

Humulene Humulene (also known as α-humulene) is one of the major terpenes found in cannabis, contributing to woody, earthy, spicy, herbaceous, and, mainly, floral aromas of cannabis. Used in modern medicine, humulene offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and appetite suppressant effects, which have been well-researched by pharmaceutical companies. 0.43%
Linalool Linalool (also known as beta linalool, linalyl alcohol, linaloyl oxide, and p-linalool) is one of the rarest terpenes found in cannabis, mostly in small quantities. Linalool is known for its spicy and lavender aroma, bringing relaxation and calming effects. It is also said to provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that can be useful for athletes. 0.22%
Nerolidol Nerolidol (also known as trans-nerolidol) is a terpene found in jasmine, tea tree, and lemongrass, as well as in some cannabis strains. Nerolidol has a distinguished floral aroma with notes of citrus, apples, and rose. The terpene has sedative, anti-anxiety, antimicrobial, anti-parasitic, anti-oxidant, and pain-relieving properties. 0.35%

must have planted a clone seed, took what felt like ages to germinate. Honestly speaking my experience with this strain has put me off planting my own stash completely. The only way I can be convinced is to grow it alongside someone else. Hate feeling like a failure.

As an expert whose been growing weed for decades all i can say to newbies is to stay away from this strain. I mean if they're willing to lose some stems to gain a better yield in the future then they can get on with it. But I wouldnt advise them to start with this one

All I can say to Leon is to give the Marijuana time to work. Ofcourse the tingly sensation comes off as a shock. First time I felt it, I thoyght I was being electrocuted. Went around the house asking my sibs to touch me to see if they would feel it too. But after a while it resolved to one of the best highs in my lifge.

its the ease of inhaling smoke that has tinges of citrus and lime notes for me. I would chew that damn weed raw if it resulted in a high.
