Laughing Buddha is a cannabis strain that finds its lineage in Thailand and Jamaica. This is a strain of Sativa-dominant hybrid that landed third place in 2003 in the High Times Cannabis Cup. The Laughing Buddha strain has a lower THC content than many other strains and is, therefore, a good option for beginner smokers or those who don’t have a very high tolerance to THC. Because it creates a euphoric mood, it can be smoked at any time of the day when you need to relax a little.

I smoked this ganja with some colleagues one morning and Ive never been so focused on whatever task I have at hand as I did that day, I was sooo energitic and got through my day pretty quick. I should definitely try this again soon enough, Ill probably make it my everyday MJ strain

Laughing Buddha Strain Information

Main Effects of Laughing Buddha

The main effects you will feel when smoking Laughing Buddha include relaxation and euphoria. It also creates a tingly feeling over time and causes the body to physically relax. Before all of this happens, though, you may feel slightly overwhelming sensations of being overly sensitive to sights and sounds.

Due to these initial sensations, this cannabis can cause side effects like paranoia, panic attacks, or slurred speech. Like many other cannabis strains, it also causes hunger.

The physically relaxing characteristics of this weed are often used by patients suffering from arthritis and migraines. It can also help fight PTSD, insomnia, and lack of appetite.

Taste and Smell

This weed is known for its nutty and toasted taste that is combined with strong hints of lemon. The aroma is similar, with nutty and earthy undertones. The terpenes contained in Laughing Buddha that produce these characteristics include:

  • Limonene
  • Carene
  • Valencene
  • Sabinene
  • Ocimene

Growing Information

It can be a little difficult to grow Laughing Buddha seeds into a plant, but not very. The flowering process takes place in 41-52 days and the plant can reach heights of 60-80 inches, both indoors and outdoors.

Strain details

Laughing Buddha Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 20 - 21.6%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.42 - 0.75%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.41 - 0.73%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.23 - 0.78%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.36 - 0.39%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.16 - 0.96%
