Often referred to as Ogre OG or Ogre Kush, the Ogre strain is an Indica-dominant weed with somewhat of a confusing genetic background. Some believe that Ogre Kush originates from its parent strain Master Kush, which is derived from Bubba Kush and Skunk #1. Other sources mention weed like Short Term Amnesia, Hindu Kush, and Durban Skunk.

Regardless of its origin, one thing is for sure – this marijuana strain comes from potent parents and is very popular with users. The Ogre strain is a potent, Indica-dominant strain that offers uplifting, euphoric feelings that turn into couch lock. It has a skunky, citrusy, and earthy flavor profile. This is why we recommend using this bud at nighttime. It is also known to boost the appetite in users. Because of its high THC content that often goes above 22% and the low CBD content below 1%, novice users should proceed with caution.

Ogre Strain Cannabinoids

THC 17.75 - 21% Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component.
CBD 0.62 - 0.94% Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps.
CBC 0.1 - 0.76% Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
CBG 0.16 - 1.08% Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure.
CBN 0.24 - 0.29% Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss.
THCV 0.38 - 1.03% Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V.

Previously confused with limonene and pinene, phellandrene was eventually distinguished as a separate terpene common for eucalyptus. Also, it could be found in mint, dill, black pepper, cinnamon, parsley, pine, and lavender.

When I heard the name, I was expecting something strong but damn weed was super potent. I felt the energy leave my body but I was deeply relaxed and my mind was clear and focused. I begin to rationalize things that made no sense before. Soon enough, I feel asleep and it was a happy dream

It did not work well for my joint pain even though I smoked a lot. I felt my heart beating very fast so I decided to sleep cos my speech was already slurry. Who would have guessed that I would awaken with headache in addition to my unresolved pain.

I will always choose a heavy body high so I can think clearly and reminisce before falling asleep. Incredible body high and sweet taste that flows in my body after enjoying a joint.

Vanilla Kush is a similar strain but ogre is the beast. They both offer soothing body high and although vanilla has better taste and aroma, the effect of ogre is more potent. It lasts longer.

The nugs are a definition of beauty, reminds me of a rainbow which I have not seen in years. The nugs have green, blue, purple, and red colors. The citrus aroma cannot be missed even though there is still an undertone of skunk.

Judging from its name, I was expecting something harder. The hits were impressively smooth. I recommend it if you want to relax a bit. Great bong, totally recommend it
