Flavors and Fragrances

It’s very much like Grandaddy Purple in terms of aroma. It has a potent, grape scent. It’s quite strong, but you won’t mind your room smelling like fruit. Like its smell, it tastes a lot like grape. Although this is what you’d mostly taste, there are other fruity tones in there too. And best of all, Purple Punch goes down like butter.

The Most Common Purple Punch Effects

Purple Punch itself combines these two sweet and sedating effects, giving off a fruity scent while knocking hard on both the mind and body. It strikes right between the eyes first and then dissipates into the limbs, tickling as it goes down. Consumers describe such properties:

  • Relaxation,
  • Sleepiness,
  • Happiness,
  • Giggles,
  • Creativity

Considering its high THC content, the Purple Punch weed strain is well-suited for sufferers of chronic physical and mental illness. Due to the extreme sedation effect, the strain is very effective at relieving intense pain. The sensation is delicious, giving off strong grape and blueberry tones, and also dulling, taking care of any nausea or stress that you may be experiencing. There are some more medicinal issues Purple Punch can help with:

  • Insomnia,
  • Anxiety,
  • Epilepsy,
  • Multiple sclerosis,
  • Muscular dystrophy,
  • PTSD,
  • Pain,
  • Stress,
  • Depression

Like with any marijuana strain, Purple Punch can produce some negative side effects in certain people. The most typical, according to the users are dry eyes, dizziness or headache.

Growing Tips

Fortunately, the seeds are quite easy to find these days. In addition, the Purple Punch flowering time is only 8 to 10 weeks, which is relatively quick for a marijuana strain. One thing I learned from my stepdad is that weed yield is strongly tied to the crop maintenance. So you can never get me skipping watering, pesticide sprays, or even watering. I have my schedule down pat and my recent harvest is a testimony it all works.

I grew this strain 3 times so far. It is a novelty as far as weed goes. It’s actually purple, smells like grape candy or grape cool aide. The smoke tastes like it smells. Fun at first, but all that sweetness got to me after a while. Good high though, strong and long lasting. Sure attracts friends, everyone loves it.

This marijuana strain has been on top of my list for sometime now. It has great relaxing effects that help with stress. It clears my mind when I feel clogged and helps me focus on what important. The high is well balanced and does not knock me off completely as it is the case with some strains. I give it a five star, its absolutely amazing.

Purple Punch Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.64 - 5.56%

CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.22 - 0.22%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.4 - 1.14%
