First blossomed in Amsterdam, Red Diesel strain from Barney's Farm is a 60/40 Indica dominant hybrid. It is undoubtedly a must-try for anybody who is a NYC Diesel genetics' fan. Breeders crossed it with California Orange to keep the aromatic composition with potency and add the high yields.

Appearance and Taste

The strain's name Red Diesel is reminiscent of red hairs that cover the nugs. It smells strongly of gasoline in addition to citrus and mint in its flavors profile. According to the users, the taste reminds a diesel-like orange candy with a sweet aftertaste.

Effects Red Diesel Strain

The high provided by Red Diesel weed strain is made rather for intermediate to advanced smokers than to beginners. The THC content of approximately 18-22% THC can make the effects a bit overwhelming for those with low tolerance.

This cannabis combines both Sativa and Indica properties keeping a perfect ratio. The high kicks in with a happy, relaxing euphoria that throws away worries and stressful moods. The depression melts, being replaced with creativity and inspiration. The users who tried this weed report the desire to work, think and create. The socialization gets easier while the body becomes comfy and relaxed.

As the high continues, subtle sedation comes to calm down the body, relieve tension in muscles and glaucoma pressure. Consumers admit the happy state when they realize pain disappearing. The strain also works well with nausea and headaches.

How to Grow

There is no problem finding seeds at the shops, but usually, they are a bit pricey. Red Diesel plant award the growers with higher than average yields after 9-10 weeks.

Red Diesel Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 19.2 - 21.4%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.83 - 1.07%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.22 - 0.72%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.34 - 0.86%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.06 - 0.24%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.36 - 0.87%

22% THC is the perfect amount for me. I have been smoking for a while and will never say no to a new blunt. I have found this cannabis to be very helpful with afternoon slumps. Your body will relax but your mind will be alive.
