Relaxed

Star Killer strain is a heavy-hitting, almost solely of the Indica variety that has the power to halt your hyperactivity and slow you down. If you are not careful, it can shut you down for the whole day. While this may not be what you want with your pot, this is the effect that it has on delivering the experience of ultimate relaxation.

I am a regular patient at therapy, I even go group meeting but nothing helps. I was in service of my country for about 4 years but had to resign because of the PTSD. There was a bombing and almost everyone on the team died. The scene keeps playing in my mind and I just want it to stop. High THC levels has been the only thing getting me through the day. I think I have found the star of all them all with lemon aroma that helps me sleep better at night.

Star Killer Strain - Best for Relaxation and Sound Sleep

Star Killer is a two-way cross between Rare Dankness #2 and Skywalker OG. It won the 2016 Colorado Cannabis Cup for Best Hybrid Flower, and since then it has been known to please a large number of consumers. Connoisseurs claim that it can kill any type of pain in the body as well as treat sleep-related issues such as insomnia. The strain is known to strongly relax the body allowing you to take a deep rest.

First-time cannabis users should steer away from this strain. It hits a high of between 27% and 30% THC content, offers OG Kush users a run for their money. Its CBD content is about 1.88% which highly contributes to its medicinal features.

Star Killer Weed Strain Flavor

You will immediately be met with a pungent scent of lemon and pine. When it comes to cannabis, the pine scent may not be extraordinary, but the blend of lemon makes it pleasant.

The weed has a pungent and skunky taste that will make you raise your eyebrows. However, the unique mix of pine and lemon with an earthy taste gives it an unusual flavor. Most users describe the taste as being pleasant and the spicy hint in the smoke makes it smoother.

The Strain’s Typical Effects

The Star Killer strain is unlike many other strains. The effects can be similar at the beginning where the user feels happy and uplifted, but that is where the similarity ends. Rather than the high intensifying to induce euphoria, the user will feel hazy due to its heavy stoney effects.

As the buzzing mental head high sidles down the body, the user will finally succumb to the numbing physical high it brings. You cannot escape the sedative effects it brings, and you will most likely remain held to your couch or bed and drift into a deep sleep. Shortly the effects are:

  • Happy
  • Sedated
  • Sleepy
  • Relaxed
  • Tingly
  • Calm

After it won the medical marijuana hybrid award, Star Killer strain proved itself to be a strain with effects that go beyond leisure. It provides relief to patients suffering from:

  • PTSD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Pains
  • Aches
  • Inflammation
  • Insomnia

Star Killer OG strain has crippling effects that are ideal for use in the evening. However, due to its incredibly high potency, it has some distinct negative effects. Users experience dry eyes and mouth—these are both normal with any strain. Other adverse effects are feeling paranoid, elevated levels of anxiety.

Star Killer Strain Growing Review

As it is a relatively new strain, there is little information about growing this strain as there is about other strains. Once you acquire Star Killer seeds, it is important that you keep the temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

It thrives well in the Mediterranean climate outdoors. When Star Killer strain grown indoors, ensure that you regularly monitor the lighting conditions.

When grown indoors, the expected yield is about 12 to 16 ounces per square meter. The flowering time is between 9 and 10 weeks.

When grown outdoors, you can harvest towards the end of October. The estimated yield per plant is around 16 ounces.

The first time I smoked this weed, I felt better emotionally and mentally. From the smell, I could already tell it was related OG. The high starts from the head and slowly overtakes the whole body. This is the place I look forward to, just lazing on the couch and munching whatever is available. New comers should smoke with caution because of the intense high. Pains, migraines and nausea vanishes with the wind.

I used to brag about my THC tolerance but this humbled me in matter of minutes. It knocked me unconscious and I woke up with an irritating headache. My mouth felt so dry like I have not had water for the past 4 days. My eyes felt funny too. I think I will stick to Berry white strain because it does not make me feel this way.

Strain details

Star Killer Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 23.5 - 26%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.48 - 0.77%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.36 - 0.77%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.34 - 1.01%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.37 - 0.19%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.26 - 0.98%
