There are not too many three-way combos, so this particular strain is quite special. Purple Rain weed strain - aka Purple Raine strain – is a cross between Chemdawg, Purple Candy, and the OG Kush. The leaves are a beautiful purple hue, while fruit and candy are what you get when you consume Purple Rain. The faint hint of pine balances things out perfectly for this strain medium-range THC potency.

With THC content at 20.0 - 23.0% and CBD at 0.7 - 1.06%, this Kush is ideal for a wide range of users. Those with high tolerance find it even better since the levels are balanced – not too high and certainly not too low.

What to Expect From Purple Rain Strain

If you are looking for some relaxing weed that won't send you straight into couch-lock, then this is it. With average THC content, it hits the brain slowly, sending bursts of energy to get you through a creative session. It is the go-to for a pick-me-up that will not only make you happier but also focused and even hungrier.

Purple Raine strain is used medically too to calm the mind and ease instances of depression, anxiety, and insomnia. It is also used to handle the pain from arthritis.

Growing Review

In 48 – 60, the plant starts flowering. In only 64 after planting, it is ready for harvest. Purple Rain strain yields quite highly at 550 g/plant, which makes up for its high growth difficulty. It grows both indoors and outdoors, but the yield is much better outdoors. Now, getting the seeds for this particular strain isn't as easy as singing the song that it is named for. Outside of the Los Angeles area, you will hardly find either the seeds or clones. Could be because Taylor Lane Farms designed it for a very specific purpose in 2015, so this baby is kind of rare.

Purple Rain Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.44 - 1.56%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.1 - 0.11%

This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.2 - 1.59%

Indica dominant strains like this one are best as a sidekick for stronger stuff. There are people whou would smoke indica for what it is, but I like them better in a good company, if you catch my drift
