Wedding Gelato is a calming strain for those looking for relaxation that comes with a sense of upliftment instead of sedation. This is an Indica-leaning hybrid that is the child strain of Gelato #33 and Wedding Cake. Created by Royal Queen Seeds, the Wedding Gelato strain contains around 23% of THC content and between 0.4-0.6% of CBD content. It has Myrcene as the primary terpene and offers a sweet and earthy aroma.
When you consume this weed, whether you smoke the flower or make some cannabutter to bake a muffin, you can expect the following outcomes:
Despite it being dominant in Indica with a 60/40 Indica to Sativa ratio, this cannabis strain does not lead to strong sedation that will leave you locked to your couch. Instead, it offers a tingling sensation that goes through your body and washes away your stress. On top of that, it makes consumers very happy. These effects make it a good marijuana strain to consume during the daytime if you want to have a relaxed and positive day ahead. However, due to its higher THC content, it is not the best for beginners.
There are some side effects that are associated with consuming this weed. These include panic attacks, lack of sleep, dry mouth, and thirst. If dosed carefully, though, it is also reported to help with some medical conditions such as stress, lack of appetite, bipolar disorder, and arthritis.
With Myrcene as the primary terpene, Wedding Gelato weed strain also contains the following:
Myrcene brings some fresh notes of mint to the aroma and flavor. Linalool and Caryophyllene add to the sweetness, with the former adding a distinct note of vanilla to the flavor. There is an earthiness in the taste as well that leads to the increase in sweet notes. The aroma also has some spicy undertones that work quite well with all of the sweetness.
Wedding Gelato can be grown with its feminized seeds. It is a plant with a low-to-mid maximum height of 30-60 inches, so it does not require too much space. It offers a good yield of around 550 g/m2 if cultivated carefully. You can start seeing the buds appear in 56-63 days. The buds of this cannabis plant look lumpy and small, with green leaves contrasted by orange hairs.
THC | Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. | 20.5 - 23.5% |
CBD | Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. | 0.28 - 0.45% |
CBC | Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. | 0.43 - 0.47% |
CBG | Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. | 0.1 - 0.21% |
CBN | Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. | 0.04 - 0.04% |
THCV | Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. | 0.08 - 0.23% |
Myrcene | Myrcene (also known as β-myrcene) is one of the most common terpenes found in cannabis, representing more than 20% of the modern marijuana terpene profile. Myrcene has a distinct earthy, musky flavor, resembling cloves. It is responsible for calming and soothing effects of weed. Myrcene is also found in hops, thyme, mango, lemongrass, guava melon. | 1% |
