Unlock the art of cultivating the Purple Gelato strain with our detailed guide. Covering everything from optimal growing conditions to harvesting techniques, this guide is essential for anyone looking to successfully grow this demanding yet highly popular cannabis strain. Learn about the importance of temperature control, humidity, plant nutrition, and strategies for pest and disease management.
Optimal Growing Conditions: Purple Gelato thrives in warm and humid environments, similar to Mediterranean climates. It's recommended to maintain a temperature around 75°F during the vegetative stage. For indoor growing, it's crucial to have a controlled environment for temperature and humidity.
Growing Method: The Sea of Green (SOG) method is highly effective for Purple Gelato. This involves planting multiple plants close together and managing them to form a large canopy, maximizing light and nutrient absorption. The plant grows tall, up to seven feet, and its compact structure contributes to a robust yield.
Planting and Transplanting: It's advisable to plant Purple Gelato seedlings in large containers from the start to avoid transplant shock, as the strain can be sensitive to environmental changes.
Watering and Nutrients: Regular watering and nutrient administration are essential. Using sanitized dried seaweed as a nutrient source can be beneficial and cost-effective.
Temperature Management for Coloration: To achieve the characteristic purple coloration, reduce night-time temperatures by 10-15°F below day-time temperatures after the flowering period begins and large buds have formed. However, doing this too early can reduce yields.
Harvesting Tips: Harvest time is typically 8-10 weeks after flowering begins. Monitoring trichome development is important to determine the best time to harvest. The buds should be dried slowly in a cool, dark, well-ventilated space, and then cured in airtight jars.
Pest and Disease Management: Maintain cleanliness in the growing area to prevent pests and diseases. Beneficial insects like ladybugs can help in natural pest control. Proper airflow and ventilation are crucial to reduce the risk of mold and mildew.
Difficulty Level: Purple Gelato seeds a challenging to grow, requiring careful attention to their environmental needs. It's more suitable for experienced growers due to its sensitivity to environmental factors and complex growing requirements.

smooth smoke, but the effects didn't match the hype for me
Intense flavor and a powerful high. Not for the faint-hearted.
Is challenging to grow but quality buds.
A go-to for relaxation. Helped with my insomnia.
Parker and others may like their mj definitive when it comes to the taste, but I enjoy the mixture of PG.
Hybrids have our interests at heart as high tolerance stoners. Purple Gelato can go up to 24% THC content which if you ask me is the best thing ever. I inhale the holy smoke from my bong and almost immediately feel the high spread all over the body. Love how great that feels.
Best thing about growing hybrids is how easy it is. My experiences with the type is that they are quite hardy. Even when the conditions are tough with a capital T, they still do so well compared to others. Also, whether you plant them indoors or outdoors they still do pretty great.
Fro what i can gather from Sadiva this is some HEAVENLY kush, my only problem is that the edibles are not as exciting as i thought they would be.
In the past I have had some really good Indicas that just had me lazing around on the couch. So imagine my surprise when after taking a few riffs from my bong i suddenly got the urge to wake up and go for a run. I did a number of laps and I couldn't say I did not have a grand time all by myself.
the buggers are taller than I thought. Had to move my pits mid-growth. HECTIC
I found the THC levels to be nicely substantial. Everything I wanted and more.
confused taste pallet, what's it going for? Sweet rosy? Tarry? quite nauseating
t6here are those that think Lime Berry is somewhat similar to this one, and i tend to think its better especially with the berry flavor.
CBD oils are always advertising the terps they have and i just think we joint and nug stoners tend to not appreciate the same. I mean, how can someone not some liimonene terpenes especially with how great an aroma they prodice. Beware though, yuou may feel some tar undertone after yoou light this one up.
Great way to wind down your day, smoked some blunts and was hella relaxed throughout.
You ever feel like a day couldn't get any worse and it just seems to. That was me last week when I bumped into some bad news. But the day kinda like picked up when i smoked this joint. First i felt really great and settled. Even the bad news faded into the background for a few hours which was a dreeeaam. But then its the relaxation that came afterwards that had me shooook. nothing like i know of.
Try spprinkling some kief as the buds burn up in your bong or pipe and thank me later for that relaxation.
this shit is so smooth and doesn’t leave a bad aftertaste at all. makes me hungry and sleepy and relaxed. usually i don’t dream after smoking but i have been off this strain and they are kinda wild. i love limonene terps with cbd and this did not disappoint
I scored a 1/4 z of Purple Gelato flower from my local exotic produce market to celebrate 420; it is absolutely deee-licious and deee-lightgul bud! A strong sweet fragrance followed by a blast of dank ness wafted up from small tight dark green & purple nugs frosty with kief. Rips from the bong were smooth and sweet upon inhalation with good expansion followed by an even more intense and very dank sweetness on the exhale. The effect slowly rolled over me in calming waves. I definitely was not couch locked yet I was perfectly content to veg on the couch watching Sponge Bob. Yet when I stood up I felt energized and spent an hour cleaning out the bathroom cabinets. I HIGHly recommend Purple Gelato.
