Butterscotch cannabis strain is a favorite one among both recreational and medical users. Excellent healing properties are combined with a wonderful candy-like flavor. This almost pure Indica marijuana smells like butterscotch and hash.

The strain contains a moderate amount of THC, around 18% and great CBD content, sometimes reaching up to 2%. These parameters indicate Butterscotch weed's availability for novice and seasoned users. It would be an excellent option for those with low tolerance, looking for peaceful rest, and pain alleviation.

Consumers describe this cannabis as one of the best for nighttime use. The high shows its power in some short time after smoking and hits the body with intense sedative relaxation. Tingles and the warm sensation of Butterscotch marijuana are prone to induce aches and different kinds of pain: nerve, temporary, caused by injury, and even severe. The cerebral happy euphoria accompanies the body-buzzing high delivered by this strain. That is why medical users find it helpful in mental illness cases such as depression, anxiety, panic, paranoia, and stress. Consumers admit that the relaxation crash like a beautiful wave and sinks them into the couch-lock. Butterscotch strain is frequently used to treat the stubborn cases of insomnia.

Finding the seeds is a tricky task for breeders, so they usually get their plants from mature ones. The herb is fungal and mold resistant and doesn't require much special care. Therefore, both beginner and experienced cultivators can try to grow Butterscotch flowers and receive the harvest after 8-9 weeks.

Butterscotch Strain Cannabinoids

THC 16.25 - 18.25% Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component.
CBD 0.9 - 1.29% Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps.
CBC 0.16 - 0.74% Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
CBG 0.12 - 0.92% Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure.
CBN 0.03 - 0.21% Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss.
THCV 0.15 - 0.98% Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V.

The buds themselves already smell like butterscotch. Thats amazing. Although this doesnt provide potent high, I still enjoyed this strain. Since I suffer from insomnia, I loved the sedative effects of this strain. One of the highlights according to leafly.

Being a medical strain, I didnt think I would enjoy this cannabis much. But it has a surprisingly wonderful sweet taste and aroma that made me feel relaxed. In fact, I was so relaxed that I got knocked out right after.
