Relaxed

Animal mints strain is a hybrid that combines the effects of Indica and Sativa giving you a well-rounded and perfectly balanced trip. This strain produces that weird effect that is relaxing and energizing all at once, a kind of trip that comes in waves, and each of those waves is different. It’s hard to really describe the kind of trip you are going to get, what I know for sure is that this is going to be a great experience you would cherish, and you would also want to smoke on those Animal Mints again. It truly is a marvelous strain, so let’s talk about it in more detail.

I liked this weed. It wasn't one of my favorites because I prefer a straight indica myself. I did however find it just fine for my chronic pain & I got a good high off of it. I'm actually going to purchase some tomorrow as my dispensary has a great deal on it! ?. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fine weed to try for pain & or a great high. BKM

All About Animal Mints Strain

What’s The History Of The Animal Mints?

Animal Mint strain was first bred by the cultivars from the Seed Junky Genetics in California with an intent to create a hybrid that balances the effects and qualities of Indica and Sativa perfectly producing this long-lasting and diverse trip that bounces from fully sedative to more or less energizing. To achieve this effect, Seed Junkies took Animal Cookies and Girl Scout Cookies, mixed them together, and the rest is history. These guys came up with the Animal Mints strain, a hybrid to end all hybrids. Being fully transparent in this Animal mints strain review, I cannot say they did reach this perfect balance between Indica and Sativa. Most smokers report a clear Indica dominance and mostly relaxing effect. Still, there is this odd and pleasant jumping feeling of uplift every now and then. So, they came really close to creating the ultimate hybrid anyway.

What Are Possible Effects?

The effects of Animal Mints strain are diverse and even unpredictable. Most smokers report a relaxing effect, a strong couch-lock, lightness in the head, good mood, good appetite, and some sporadic bursts of energy. So, you can expect a trip of high potency and mixed-effects:

  • Happiness
  • Energy bursts
  • Relaxation
  • Creativeness
  • Good Appetite

Basically, what you are going to feel is a boost of positive emotions, a strong desire to stay where you are and be comfortable in that place, bursts of laughter, bright ideas, and creativity bursts. That is perfect for a chill session with some of your good friends – grab some snacks, something to drink, and find some good music or movies to relax to.

Are Animal Mints Good For Medical Use?

Well, not exactly. Considering a kind of chaotic nature of this strain, its unpredictable range of effects, and the fact that it produces such a wide array of effects upon your mind and your body, it is best not to use Animal Mints weed strain if your mental condition is not so stable. What this strain is great for is killing the pain. It has a strong relaxing effect upon your body, so it is great for relieving physical aches and pains. With its rather high THC content of around 20%, it really is a potent natural painkiller, so you might want to give it a shot after you consult with your doctor.

What Are The Reasons To Smoke Animal Mints?

Everyone has their reasons to smoke. The Animal Mintz weed strain is a kind of strain people smoke of sheer curiosity — it is weird, unusual, and really fun. I’d say this is not your everyday option, this is the something you’d smoke occasionally with friends when you all want something extra. Well, this right here is just an opinion, and it is totally normal that you’d have your own. So, I would totally recommend you to try this one and find out whether it is your thing.

Looks

The looks of that plant say it all, it is of medium height, medium width, and it’s green. Nothing too crazy about its outlook. The buds can come in different sizes too: you can see some average size buds and some giant monster buds that can smoke up your entire squad. The plant looks good, nothing too crazy, just a pretty three.

Smell and aroma

Smell and aroma are where this Animal cake strain shines real bright. As the name suggests, Animal Mintz weed strain smells of mint, and you can sense that smell once you open that jar. This refreshing minty aroma mixes well with this classic herbal smell that is common for the majority of strains out there. This truly is a remarkable smell, so you’ve got to try it.

Flavor

The flavor always depends on your smoking device. Use a big bong with some ice and you’ll get this fresh and cool taste of that mint bud, almost like smoking a good minеy cigarette. If you use pipe, I am sorry to say that, but you’ve got to prepare for this bitter and really irritating smoke that will most likely make you cough.

Is Animal Mints Popular?

Well, you cannot say it’s exactly popular. As I said earlier, this is not a kind of strain you’d want to smoke on a daily basis, it’s too weird and too peculiar to smoke it as your everyday choice. That is why the animal mints marijuana strain rating is not too high. Don’t get me wrong, Animal Mints strain is good, it definitely is one of the most peculiar strains out there, but maybe this is exactly the reason why it is not too popular — it’s just too strange for the average smoker. Though, I would totally recommend you try it because it might just be that life-changing experience you’ve been looking for.

How Do I Grow Animal Mints?

To grow Animal Mints, you’ll need a garden, a greenhouse, or a hydroponics station. The latter option is the easiest, so if you have no garden and are full of passion for growing your plants at home, get yourself a mid-sized station and some seeds. Once you are set, plant your seeds, throw in some fertilizers and stay patient. This strain’s flowering time is somewhere around 10 weeks, so you’ll have to wait for quite a while. Keep an eye on your plant; though it is resilient to diseases, you’d still want to make sure it grows strong and healthy.

Is It Useful for Cooking?

Well, I don’t think so. You see, being entirely honest with you, I would not recommend you to use that strain for cooking your edibles. As I said, the effects of Animal Kush Mints strain are kinda chaotic and hard to predict, and edibles in their turn, make everything even more complicated. Edibles change the way your body processes the cannabinoids, so the effects become even harder to predict. Also, the effect of the edibles lasts for much longer, and it is easy to overdo it with edibles and end up getting a bad trip. If you are used to the effects of Animal Mintz strain, you may, of course, try edibles, but that’s not what I would recommend.

What Are The Similar Strains?

One of the related and similar strains is Blue Power. This is a choice that is directly related to the Animal Mints lineage, so it is not surprising that they have some similar features. The main similarity is the smell. Blue Power has a more defined calming effect, though it might also come in waves along with bursts of energy.

What Do We Have?

We have a truly peculiar strain that gives you that weird trip you cannot even describe to anyone. The Animal Mints is a must-have for any cannabis enthusiast, that’s for sure, and if you want to smoke something you did not try before — this is your choice. This strain is something else, an amazing hybrid that takes the notion of balance to a whole another level. Is the world ready for the weed that combines the features of Indica and Sativa? Well, I’m not sure, but you should definitely try this stuff.

This is one strain that never lets me down for my various symptoms. Even though it's ""indica dominant"" i find the high CBD levels keep me very clear-headed and energized, without any jitters or anxiety. It also works great for headaches. I'll never be without this strain if I can help it.

Animal Mints Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.02 - 0.18%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.24 - 0.97%
