Fluffhead buds are visually recognized thanks to the thick trichome coating they have, giving it a fluffy appearance and hence the name. This is an Indica-dominant hybrid that is the child strain of Phishhead Kush and Headband. With a THC content of around 21% and a very low CBD content of less than 0,1%, this is not the strain that will instantly knock you down but offers a rather pleasant smoking experience.

The Effects of Fluffhead

The outcomes of consuming this weed are pretty balanced. It offers the following effects:

When you smoke the buds, you will feel a strong head high at first. This will allow your mind to relax and to let go of worrisome thoughts. Then this high will travel down into the body and offer physical relaxation. Sometimes, this sense of relaxation will end up making you feel sleepy. Keeping these effects in mind, it might be best to consume this marijuana either in the late afternoon or in the evening when you want to lay back and chill out for a bit.

Fluffhead, thanks to its calming and energizing effects, is also helpful in treating some medical conditions such as stress, fatigue, pain, depression, and mood swings. It may also aid in getting some sleep if you suffer from a lack of it.

Aroma and Taste

The aroma emanating from the buds has a sharp citrusy profile with some sweet earthy tones. There are some musky notes in there too, thanks to the presence of Myrcene. The sweetness and sourness of citrus created by the combination of Terpinolene and Limonene also find their way into the flavor. If you're a fan of lemony strains, this one will be right up your alley. You can even try using it as an add-on to your muffin recipes.

Growing Information

Like most cannabis strains, this one can be planted both indoors as well as outdoors. It takes around 8-11 weeks to flower and will give you buds that resemble tiny, fluffy hearts. They are dark green in color with undertones of blue. The plant is not very common and produces less than average yields but the balanced effects you get are worth the trouble.

Fluffhead Strain Cannabinoids

  • THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 18 - 22%
  • CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.7 - 0.94%
  • CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.22 - 0.34%
  • CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.08 - 0.11%
  • CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.07 - 0.3%
  • THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.01 - 0.21%
