Grower Stories #98: Gretchen

Our Interview with Gretchen, Owner and Grower of Bull Run Craft Cannabis, Licensed in Oregon

Every brand in the cannabis industry has its own story to tell, and here, you can learn more about Bull Run Craft Cannabis that started its journey in 2015. The story revolves around a small team dedicated to all-natural cannabis products not containing chemicals, pesticides, or salt. #growerstories

Tia (AskGrowers) : Tell us how you started Bull Run?

Gretchen (Bull Run Craft Cannabis) : Three friends - two growers, and one business owner - started Bull Run Craft Cannabis in 2015. We were in the first group of five licenses issued by the state of Oregon.

Tia : How does your brand differ from others similar to yours?

Gretchen : We brew our in-house teas and tonics. We never use chemicals, salt, or pesticides.

Tia : Do you cultivate cannabis yourselves or with the help of professional growers?

Gretchen : We grow everything ourselves. Owned and operated by a small team.

Tia : What are the best-selling strains on your website?

Gretchen : Litemeup (Durban Poison X Unknown CBD), Black Goti (Goti OG X Raspberry), Mighty Fine (Sour Diesel X OG Kush)

Tia : Do you use any chemicals while growing weed?

Gretchen : None! We grow with all-natural ingredients made from our in-house teas.

Tia : In your opinion, what are the easiest strains to grow?

Gretchen : If you take your time, they are all about the same to grow.

Tia : Should people strive for a high THC, in your opinion? Why?

Gretchen : No. THC as a single factor seems overweighted. The more time I spend with a different flower, a diverse terpene profile shapes my experience.

Tia : Are there any brands in your state you appreciate and follow? And in the USA in general?

Gretchen : Yes! Cannessentials, Gnome Grown, grow some perfect flower.

Grasse Co. makes some of the best solventless rosin products.

Gretchen : Every night! It’s fun and keeps me sane.

Tia : Your top strains to smoke? Why?

Gretchen : Black Goti – It’s very alert yet relaxing.

Tia : What are the three main trends in the cannabis industry in 2021 for you now?

Gretchen : Growing clean flower, cultivating new strains, enjoying whatever comes our way.

Tia : If you could have a chance to smoke with anyone on this planet, who’d that be and why?

Gretchen : My dog (if he smoked) because he’s hilarious!

Tia : Do you plan to expand your brand with time? If yes, what do you plan to add to your product line?

Gretchen : We are continually adding to our pre-roll line 10 g cannagar, 5g cannarillo, 2g pepito, 2g rose pepita, 5 pack, strain-specific pack.
