Black Tuna is a Sativa strain that came from 5 Star Organic's breeders. It is a British-Columbian weed that took its genetics from Lamb's Bread and Herojuana. Due to the relatively high THC level, which reaches up to 23% with a negligible CBD ratio that is less than 1%, this weed is not recommended for newcomers. It is said that the Black Tuna weed was sold in tuna cans to mimic its name. It is also worth knowing that it was named after Black Tuna Gang that was smuggling cannabis from Columbia to the US in the seventies.

Black Tuna bud emits a skunky funk earthy smell with pungent, sour, and sweet undertones. Meanwhile, its spicy taste well balances its aroma.

It could be quite overwhelming even for moderate consumers as its strength is mostly described as narcotic, but if you are a seasoned user, Black Tuna will leave you enjoyably relaxed and sedated. However, to be familiar with Sativa's influence, the uplifted state along with euphoria and mood improvement is guaranteed.

Black Tuna strain is a tremendous pain reliever that suffers patients from the pain caused by inflammatory, injury, arthritis. Its cerebral effect treats insomnia, stress, anxiety, and depression.

This plant is difficult to be cultivated even by experienced growers. Black Tuna's seeds are available at online shops.

Black Tuna Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 16.75 - 19.5%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.26 - 0.5%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.32 - 0.79%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.22 - 0.82%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.06 - 0.24%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.19 - 1.12%

Black Tuna is one of the best strains I've ever had the pleasure to experience!!! 50-50 hybrid which is just about perfect! You feel the strong indica side but you are still focused, for a while that is...

Farrrrkkkk! This dope is the dopiest I ever tried. As I write this I am high as fuck! This is definitely a strain to try if it is your first time but if you are an advanced smoker than me, then you are going to love this one. It has much psychedelic effects on me.

Damn good! A great herbal and spicy flavor and quite relaxing. You will want to sit on a comfy seat when smoking this as it will hit you very hard and leave you sedated for hours. This is a must try for advanced smokers, if you are a virgin you will want to wait for something lighter.
