The Vanilla Frosting strain is a slightly Indica-leaning hybrid (60% Indica/40% Sativa) made through crossing the infamous Humboldt Frost OG and Humboldt Gelato BX3 strains. The strain name says it all. With the broad terpene profile dominated by myrcene and caryophyllene, this marijuana has a flavor remarkably like vanilla frosting, featuring sweet and creamy notes that are accented by light, rich floral hints. The aroma is similar, although it boasts hints of pungent, woody herbs too. Stoners describe the effects of this strain as happy and light. This is why Vanilla Frosting is used by medical patients struggling from stress and tension. In combination with its extra high THC level of 21-23% and these effects, this cannabis is suitable for experienced patients.

The cannabinoid make up is also made up of the following compounds:

  • CBD 0.43-0.76%
  • CBC 0.36-0.74%
  • CBG 0.44-0.93%
  • CBN 0.06-0.22%
  • THCV 0.28-1.1%

Fragrance & Terpenes

The Vanilla Frosting weed strain has a mouthwatering flavor and aroma just like its name implies. The terpene profile is vast and is dominated by sweet berry-like myrcene and earthy with spicy hints of caryophyllene. The strain has a sweet vanilla cream flavor with berry undertones that can be noticed when the nugs are burned away. The aroma is more floral with lavender and pine hints that are perfectly combined with the same vanilla cream hints.

Other dominant terpenes that are responsible for this delicious taste of Vanilla Frosting are:

  • Pinene (0.12%)
  • Humulene (0.1%)
  • Limonene (0.14%)
  • Linalool (0.13%)

Consumers who find this strain too weak often choose Granimals strain as it is similar in flavor but higher in THC.

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.06 - 0.22%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. You might want to change Vanilla Frosting to 60% Indica 40% sativa and not the other way around. you also have it marked as a Sativa when it is a Hybrid that is Indica dominant Strain. if you go to Humboldt seed's web site it will give you confirmation on the strain they created. just like to see the correct info when looking things up!

I'm just curious as to why it says Sativa Dominant here and on the Humboldt seed web site they say it's 60% Indica 40% sativa? they should know since they created this strain!

Growing this strain is a breeze so that even novices can cultivate it in their gardens. The plant is suitable for inside and outside conditions and impresses growers with bountiful yields.
The breeder of Vanilla Frosting is Humboldt Seed Company. Crossing the Frost OG with Gelato Bx3 strains created a pretty potent indica-dominant hybrid with a divine aroma profile.
