The indica-dominant hybrid strain Blue Magoo (should not be confused with Blue Goo strain) is a genetic cross between parent strains Blueberry cultivated by DJ Short and William’s Wonder F2 (also known as Major League Bud) created by the Portland-based breeder Dynasty Seeds. Its THC content is 15-18%, and there is not much CBD in this pot (0.35-0.77%).

Blue Magoo Strain Aroma and Flavor

The strain looks pretty with resinous, compact, and dense green color buds that have deep purple and orange hues. The flower features an unforgettable name, a striking strong flavor, and a pleasant smell. The terpenes (dominant among them myrcene) taste fruity, and most users describe the flavor as the blueberry in a sweet candy. Blue Magoo strain is also a fusion of an earthy taste with pine and floral notes.

List of main terpenes:

  • Myrcene
  • Camphene
  • Humulene
  • Limonene
  • Linalool
  • Caryophyllene

Blue Magoo Effects and Medical Appointments

This marijuana type is characterized by a quick sedative effect and gives users a sense of profound body relaxation, which is characteristic of the typical Indica phenotype. The effect starts with euphoric feelings that blend with happiness. The consumers become talkative and giggly. It alleviates insomnia, anxiety.

This pot has beneficial medical effects for those who want to relieve pain caused by muscular weakness, arthritis, endometriosis, and other debilitating conditions. People who suffer from nausea can benefit from Blue Magoo strain since it alleviates this condition and leads users to deep relaxation. It can be prescribed to people with anorexia, epilepsy, migraines, bipolar disorder, etc. Also, this strain is useful for individuals with mood disorders and depression.

This strain comes with potential side effects. Over-consumption has been reported to cause headaches and result in drowsiness, rapid heartbeat, loss of appetite, and dry mouth. When burnt, marijuana produces harsh smoke that can trigger coughing and irritate the user's throat, so it is recommended to have a jar of honey and a bottle of water ready.

Since it is a powerful type of marijuana, it is not suitable for unaccustomed users.

Grow Information

The original breeders don’t sell the Blue Magoo cannabis seeds for commercial cultivation. Growers can only nurture the strain through clippings from mature female plants, so they get clones that are genetically identical to Blue Magoo. Due to this fact, the pot is not very popular among home cultivators. The plants typically blossom in 62-71 days, and a harvest time required 75-82 days. The plants are rather high (30-60 inches) and produce a dense covering of resinous buds during a flowering period, so experienced growers recommend using support structures and organic soil. Those who want to get a unique deep purple hue should expose plants to cold night temperatures before flowering starts. The strain grows well in a warm and dry climate and is resistant to common mildew.

this weed can be quite chocky and irritating to the throat. I do not enjoy it becaue it makes my voice hoarse and reduces the smoothness of my voice. The high is not worth sacrificing my voice.
