Sirius Black by Oregon Breeders Group is hybrid with a 50/50 genetic mix. The lineage of this strain is as mysterious as a wizard named Sirius Black in Joanne Rowling's books about Harry Potter. The thing is, the breeder decided to keep the lineage of this strain covered. Oregon Breeders Group informed that they bred this cannabis in Portland in the 1980s as part of the Sirius Black project to create the perfect dark purple bud.

Although its origin remains a mystery, much more is known about its amazing features. Sirius Black strain tastes like sweet grape flavor, with a slight hint of citrus and berries. It feels a little tart, but soft on exhalation. The aroma is also sweet and earthy, sometimes with hints of musk.

The effect of this marijuana is as memorable as the taste, as it has analgesic and sedative effects. Consumers also report being relaxed, happy, and creative.

Sometimes this strain can even provoke couch-lock so it would be better to smoke it in the evening before rest.

This cannabis is popular among patients, and due to its high average THC level of 10-18%, it helps to fight chronic pain, depression, fatigue, inflammation of various kinds, insomnia, and post-traumatic syndromes.

The main side effects are most often dry mouth and eyes, less often dizziness and anxiety.

You can easily find Sirius Black feminized seeds in online stores. It is important to note that although this cannabis is easy to grow, it still requires some experience and practice in caring for it. Sirius Black plants grow well indoors, and even better outdoors in hot, humid, or Mediterranean climates. It is moderately mold resistant. Depending on growing conditions, plant growth can reach 80-150 cm, flowering time - 63-107 days, and yield - 300-650 grams per square meter.

Sirius Black Strain Cannabinoids

THC 19 - 20.8% Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component.
CBD 0.74 - 0.98% Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps.
CBC 0.22 - 0.66% Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
CBG 0.14 - 1.02% Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure.
CBN 0.2 - 0.43% Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss.
THCV 0.18 - 0.76% Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V.
