Wookies strain (also called Chewbacca strain and Cocoon Cookie) is a fuzzy and hairy-looking strain, just like the Star Wars character it was named after. It’s average THC level and CBD is 18 - 21% and 0.89 - 1.55% respectively.

Although someone named Terria Rojo has claimed credit for Wookies weed, no one knows for sure who actually bred this unique blend of three types of marijuana: The White, Girl Scout Cookies (GSC), and Chemdawg 91. This means you get the dense trichomes of The White, the heavenly taste of GSC, and the high potency of Chemdawg 91 – all in one.

The scent of Wookies is a bit unusual – but in a pleasant way. You’re most likely to smell a cross of citrus, pine, and fuel; you might get a hint of licorice too if you have an excellent sense of smell. Such flavors are contained in the strain due to the Limonene, Cedrene, Phellandrene, Linalool, Bisabolol terpenes.

Possible effects

Wookies marijuana is ideal for a Sunday afternoon, where all you have to do is relax. Strong sedation is one of the strain effects you will experience; a few tokes and you’re out. This is why we don’t recommend using it if you have important plans for the day. Many pot users have also reported an immediate uplift in their mood after consuming Wookies.

The typical properties include:

  • Euphoria
  • Happiness
  • Focus
  • Uplifted mood
  • Hunger

Being a potent marijuana strain, Wookies marijuana strain has a few medical benefits.

Users report that it helps with:

Wookies is one of those strains that have a strong sedative effect which can lead to ‘couch lock’. Trying the Wookies weed strain isn’t a good idea if you’re a beginner. The strain is known to have some adverse effects like dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, and paranoia that a beginner might not be able to handle.

Unfortunately, this strain is not available in seeds. Wookies is a clone-only strain, so the chances of you finding it are very low. Even if you do manage to get your hands on its clone, growing this strain will be a bit difficult as compared to other strains. This is because when the Wookies cannabis plant grows fully, its top starts to shade the bottom part. Thus, you will need to cut the extra leaves on top and keep a close eye on the plant. We recommend that you take help from a professional grower.

Wookies tend to grow in dense, sticky buds that are covered with resin. The flowering time for this strain is 49-70 days. If you leave it for all 70 days, you will be able to enjoy the full flower and potency that the strain is known for. The strain’s yield is not considered as a rich one because it is less than 1 oz/ft2 both indoors and outdoors.

Wookies Strain Cannabinoids

THC 21.67 - 24% Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component.
CBD 0.36 - 0.69% Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps.
CBC 0.23 - 0.86% Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
CBG 0.16 - 1.02% Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure.
CBN 0.39 - 0.17% Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss.
THCV 0.15 - 0.64% Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V.

Wookies Terpene Profile

Pinene 0.13% Pinene is one of the most widespread terpenes in nature, found in pine trees, basil, nutmeg, parsley, and rosemary. Cannabis containing terpene (alpha-pinene or α-pinene) boasts a strong pine scent. Pinene is responsible for anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and anti-anxiety effects.
Myrcene 0.23% Myrcene (also known as β-myrcene) is one of the most common terpenes found in cannabis, representing more than 20% of the modern marijuana terpene profile. Myrcene has a distinct earthy, musky flavor, resembling cloves. It is responsible for calming and soothing effects of weed. Myrcene is also found in hops, thyme, mango, lemongrass, guava melon.
Humulene 0.07% Humulene (also known as α-humulene) is one of the major terpenes found in cannabis, contributing to woody, earthy, spicy, herbaceous, and, mainly, floral aromas of cannabis. Used in modern medicine, humulene offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and appetite suppressant effects, which have been well-researched by pharmaceutical companies.
Limonene 0.14% Limonene (also known as d-limonene) is the second most common terpene in nature and the third most common terpene in cannabis. It has a powerful citrus aroma and can be found in all citruses, including lemons, oranges, grapefruits, limes, juniper, etc. Limonene is known to elevate moods and provide anxiety, depression, and stress relief.
Linalool 0.08% Linalool (also known as beta linalool, linalyl alcohol, linaloyl oxide, and p-linalool) is one of the rarest terpenes found in cannabis, mostly in small quantities. Linalool is known for its spicy and lavender aroma, bringing relaxation and calming effects. It is also said to provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that can be useful for athletes.
Bisabolol 0.04% Bisabolol (also known as α-Bisabolol or levomenol) is a lesser-known terpene found in cannabis. It contributes to anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, antioxidant, anti-microbial, and analgesic properties of weed strains containing bisanol. Attentive smokers would be able to catch a nutty, fruity scent with herbal and floral undertones, with a tender trace of coconut.
Terpinolene 0.01% Terpinolene is one of the most common terpenes found in cannabis; however, It's usually presented in small quantities. Is responsible for piney, floral, herbaceous, and even a little bit citrusy aroma of cannabis. Terpinolene can be found in lilacs, nutmeg, and cumin. In cannabis, terpinolene contributes to the sensation of "freshness." Has the potential to reduce the risk of heart diseases.
Phellandrene 0.08% Phellandrene (also known as alpha- and beta-phellandrene) is one of the rare terpenes found in cannabis with antihyperalgesic and antidepressive properties. Phellandrene contributes to a minty, woody, and mildly citrus aroma in cannabis. Previously confused with limonene and pinene, phellandrene was eventually distinguished as a separate terpene common for eucalyptus. Also, it could be found in mint, dill, black pepper, cinnamon, parsley, pine, and lavender.
Caryophyllene 0.23% Caryophyllene (also known as beta or b caryophyllene) is a terpene found in many herbs and spices, such as black pepper, basil, rosemary, and oregano. Cannabis high in caryophyllene delivers a strong spicy, peppery aroma, resembling cinnamon and cloves. Caryophyllene offers potent anti-inflammatory and sedative effects.
Total terpenes content 1.01%

The strain is rich in terpenes, limonene and linalool provide distinct citrus and floral aromas. The effects it gives remind me of OG Skunk and Pineapple Express. Consumed in small doses, its uplifting, but in high doses its quite sedative. The munchies

Wookies is a great strain and you can roll a joint any time of the day. It is relaxing without a couch lock. I have PTSD and this stuff helps me those days when anxiety knocks me down. It will make you feel hungry though, so be ready with some munchies. It leaves you relaxed, euphoric, happy, and aroused.
