Profiling the most innovative cannabis growers, manufacturers and brands, AskGrowers marks its 100th interview with Buck Angel

AskGrowers, a website that educates consumers and provides an in-depth introduction to cannabis for newcomers and experienced connoisseurs alike, celebrated its 100th interview for its Grower Stories series on June 16, 2021, after less than a year since its debut in 2020. AskGrowers has introduced readers to original profiles, from household names like Tom Chong to innovators such as Leandro Pasztor and Joline Rivera. With more than a million website visits to date, AskGrowers is the go-to place for information about cannabis and surrounding culture.

The LGBTQ+ community was instrumental in getting some of the first medical marijuana legislation passed. AskGrowers’s 100th interview with Buck Angel, transgender activist and cannabis entrepreneur, is part of Pride and Cannabis in celebration of Pride month. “I was alive and lost many friends during this time. It is why LGBTQ+ space is important in our industry,” says Buck Angel. “Gay men legalized cannabis. Gay men died, and today, that should be a big part of the conversation. I use my platform to educate, especially the younger generation who might not have a clue as to why gay weed matters.”

In addition to Angel, AskGrowers profiles Alexander Corwin of Stone Road and Brandon Dorsky of Fruit Slabs and interview updates with Robert Miller of Purefectionery, Kim Geraghty of Madame Munchie for Pride and Cannabis.

“The cannabis industry owes a great debt to the pioneers in the LGBTQ+ community,” says Irene Stepanenko, AskGrowers, CEO. “We want to connect our readers with interviewees and introduce them to ways they can support members of the cannabis community and learn more about these innovative people and their brands.”

In the U.S., both medical and recreational cannabis is expanding state-by-state. However, each state has its own licensing rules with no encompassing national brands. Readers learn more about the various cannabis strains, brands, products, and manufacturers available to them through the Grower Stories.

“AskGrowers created Grower Stories because we’re on a mission to keep the cannabis community informed of the ever-growing selection of product offerings available and the stories behind the people innovating the cannabis space,” says Igor Dunaevsky, Managing Partner, AskGrowers. One way we educate cannabis consumers about the different choices out there is through these interviews.”
