For marijuana enthusiasts who enjoy pure Sativas, Panama Red strain is the perfect choice. It reached its peak of popularity in the 1960s. The Sativa-dominant effects are classic; you’ll get into an energized and almost euphoric state after a few puffs. There’s something surprising in its character: it also has a slight relaxation feeling to the body.

Whoa! I just sitting here chilling and my friend panics. Ha-ha-ha! This smoke is good. He doesn’t know how to smoke it, he did too much. My life is perfect right now. Not a single care in the world. Stress- what’s that ? Oh, the day was terrible but I’m so happy right now. Whoa! Thanks Panama!

Panama Red Strain Information

The lineage is not 100% clear, but it’s connected to Central American as a parent. Panama Red cannabis has a moderately high THC level of around 15%. It’s good for relieving depression and stress. Being a pure Sativa, it carries the risk of paranoia and enhanced anxiety with excessive use.

It delivers a moderate yield after 11-12 week flowering time. This makes it less attractive for flowers, so the strain is rare to find in dispensaries nowadays.

FAQ

The effects of the Panama Red are sometimes relaxation, but mostly energy, euphoria and increased creativity. Due to the fact that this is a sativa strain, the high percentages can cause symptoms like dry eyes, paranoia and anxiety that might be experienced during smoking.

Puff, puff, and I’m all drowsy and sleepy. Then I wake up and I’m hungry and feel like I haven’t had water in months. Then I fall asleep again. Next I know, I wake up with a headache like I’ve never had before. I got all the bad things of PanamaRed and none of the good ones. This isn’t something I’d ever try again in my life. EVER!

Panama red is OH DEAR! not so strong but soooo good. I’m relieved and happy and chatty and a little bit hungry right now. it’s the best thing ever for me. The taste is delish and the smoke is good, but i don’t care much about the smell. It was hard to find it, but i hope I’ll buy it again from the same store.

Panama is not so bad, but not my favourite. Its effects last very little and don’t help me with pain.

If you want something heavenly, this is it. It’s so darn good! It’s light but it hits fast and it puts you in this great mood. I smoked it the other night and I was chill, guys. You can’t imagine how chill I was. I lay down all the time, spoke some, didn’t want to sleep, but was so happy. I even liked how it tasted. It had a strong smell, but I don’t mind it.

This is a smoker’s paradise. You’ll calm but very focused and you can just sit around all day and chill. You don’t lose focus. You are not stressed. You are not thirsty or hungry like Leafly says. Panama Red weed is the most peaceful dope ever. I loved every minute of it. It’s not so often that I like a sativa this much, so that says a lot.

Strain details

Panama Red Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 15.75 - 19%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.24 - 0.61%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.23 - 0.83%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.06 - 0.14%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.29 - 0.99%
