Apple Pie strain is a Sativa-dominant 60/40 hybrid cannabis that appeared as a result of crossing between Acapulco Gold and Highland Nepalese. This flower’s appearance is the achievement of Refferman Seeds. The primary cannabinoids of this marijuana are THC of about 22.5-24.5% and CBD ranging within 0.88-1.33%. Although this cannabis has a pretty ordinary appearance, it’s better to be mindful of it, as it might provoke a few unpleasant side effects. This marijuana can become an option even for beginners, yet it’s recommended to consume in appropriate dosages. Regarding Apple Pie’s terpene profile, it can boast the following list:

This is a awesome strain for getting things done!!

Apple Pie Strain - Fresh-Baked

  • Pinene
  • Humulene
  • Sabinene
  • Bisabolol
  • Phellandrene

Apple Pie Strain Flavors

Like a real, fresh-baked apple pie, this kush attracts the consumer with a pleasant fragrance of sweet apples combined with a slight sourness and a spicy-herbal undertone of nuts and earthiness. The taste is pretty similar, providing the flavor of sweet, sour apples with the presence of nuts and a subtle spicy-herbal aftertaste on the exhale. This flavor profile appeared thanks to the complex cooperation of the terpenes. Humulene affects the earthy hints, while pinene is responsible for sweetness. Among that, sabinene impacts the most, providing nuttiness while interacting with humulene and pinene, enhancing earthiness and sweetness, respectively.

Most Common Effects

As the majority of Sativa-leaning strains, Apple Pie strain produces a cerebral high that connects a strong feeling of uplift and euphoria. When the first impression settles down a bit, it explodes with a powerful charge of energy and motivation, which can recharge the toker in no time. All of that perfectly merges with a slight body relaxation that starts with tingles and continues as a pleasant addition to cerebral effects. To sum it up, this marijuana is a great choice for energizing yourself and completing all the necessary chores. The best time for consumption is in the morning or during the daytime. Worth mentioning that many reviewers also admit Apple pie’s capabilities as a perfect wake-n-bake strain.

The medical benefits of this cannabis are also no joke. Apple Pie can provide beneficial support for alleviating such symptoms as:

  • Anxiety
  • Muscle spasms
  • Arthritis
  • Migraines
  • PMS

However, the probability of facing side effects is also present. Thus, in case of overconsumption, it might cause:

  • Dry eyes
  • Dizziness
  • Paranoia

How to Grow

Growing the Apple Pie weed strain is quite difficult and demands a fair amount of experience. It can be grown both indoors as well as outdoors, with the average height fluctuating within 30-60 inches. The flowering cycle usually takes approximately 43-54 days and the best time to harvest the yield comes after 59 days. It yields about 0.5-1 Oz/Ft² (~300g/m²) when grown indoors and10-15 Oz/plant (~400g/plant) outdoors.

I love this strain for daytime , I've been a medical cannabis user since 1999 and have lost count how many strains I've tried . This is by far the best for daytime other then blue dream and for growing not hard at all . Just have to have a plant feeding schedule and I lollipoped all my plants . I tried a few different grow methods and then on one plant combined all the grow methods to great success . The biggest plant is 6.5 feet wide and 6 feet tall in full bud now and dam . If you have any questions just ask

Hi. I'm kind of new to smoking weed. My experience with Apple Pie, at least I was assured it was a Sativa dominant, really did the exact opposite. My pre-rolls came in a pack of three joints and I smoked one before dinner. After at least a few I started having this relaxing feeling that made me sleepy. Idk why it did the exact opposite. But the feeling felt so good. I felt this cool rush of energy throughout my entire body. I distinctly remember when I had an itch on my arm it felt like a spark. And when I had my eyes closed, while listing to a song from Silent Hill 4 "Resting Comfortably" I started seeing weird stuff. But asking an expert's opinion on the opposite effects. What are your thoughts and experiences? And what other strains would you recommend that would give me energy? Thanks

This kush and coffee are what kept me sane and on the move during my college years, whenever I felt stressed by an exam coming up or an impossible paper Id hit a joint and get to work. The after effects of this strain arent that bad too, they only make you feel relaxed and not couch-locked

This kush is great for people with mood swings and I happen to have a friedn who has a lot of them lol, one smoking session with the guy is one of the few ways to keep in a good mood for hours. It makes you really energetic too so I also like smoking a joint before hitting the gym every now and then

Strain details

Apple Pie Strain Cannabinoids

THC Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a major cannabis chemical compound. It is a psychoactive element that stimulates dopamine release and induces euphoria or happiness. THC-rich strains may be helpful with such conditions as lack of appetite, chronic pains , etc. It is considered to be the primary active marijuana component. 22.5 - 24.5%
CBD Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a major compound in cannabis, which is non-psychoactive. It is also proved to counteract the side effects of the second major component THC. CBD is widely used for medicinal purposes in rubs, oils and so on. It is helpful in muscle pain cases, may treat arthritis and migraines. Even Greeks used it against pain, while Queen Victoria applied it to get rid of menstrual cramps. 0.84 - 1.33%
CBC Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid, meaning that its quantity in cannabis is quite little. Though it has the same origin as CBD and THC, it is different in functions. Without any psychoactive effects, it is an efficient cannabis compound in combating acne and depression. CBC produces analgesic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. 0.41 - 0.87%
CBG Cannabigerol, or CBG, is one of the minor cannabis compounds in adult plants. On the other hand, young ones contain a lot of this antibacterial and anti-inflammatory component. During the growth, CBG is converted into different cannabinoids, mostly THC and CBD. The compound itself increases appetite and decreases eye pressure. 0.19 - 1.18%
CBN Cannabinol, or CBN, is a trace element in cannabis that is considered to be mildly psychoactive. It appears from oxidation THC, exposed to light and heat. CBN is mostly contained in old cannabis and in traditional hashish. It is effective against insomnia, bacterial infections and appetite loss. 0.26 - 0.15%
THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THC-V, is a compound contained in cannabis in trace amounts. Even though it is close to THC molecularly, it is different in effects. This compound may be psychoactive only in large amounts. THC-V reduces blood sugar, controls appetite, stimulates bone growth, etc. African Sativa strains are the richest in THC-V. 0.36 - 1.53%

Apple Pie Terpene Profile

Pinene Pinene is one of the most widespread terpenes in nature, found in pine trees, basil, nutmeg, parsley, and rosemary. Cannabis containing terpene (alpha-pinene or α-pinene) boasts a strong pine scent. Pinene is responsible for anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and anti-anxiety effects. 0.26%
Humulene Humulene (also known as α-humulene) is one of the major terpenes found in cannabis, contributing to woody, earthy, spicy, herbaceous, and, mainly, floral aromas of cannabis. Used in modern medicine, humulene offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and appetite suppressant effects, which have been well-researched by pharmaceutical companies. 0.33%
Sabinene Sabinene is a terpene with a peppery, spicy, citrusy, and piney aroma, presented in Norway spruce, Holm oak trees, black pepper, cardamom, and carrot seeds. Found in cannabis in small quantities. Allegedly, sabinene has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. 0.19%
Bisabolol Bisabolol (also known as α-Bisabolol or levomenol) is a lesser-known terpene found in cannabis. It contributes to anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, antioxidant, anti-microbial, and analgesic properties of weed strains containing bisanol. Attentive smokers would be able to catch a nutty, fruity scent with herbal and floral undertones, with a tender trace of coconut. 0.07%
Phellandrene Phellandrene (also known as alpha- and beta-phellandrene) is one of the rare terpenes found in cannabis with antihyperalgesic and antidepressive properties. Phellandrene contributes to a minty, woody, and mildly citrus aroma in cannabis. Previously confused with limonene and pinene, phellandrene was eventually distinguished as a separate terpene common for eucalyptus. Also, it could be found in mint, dill, black pepper, cinnamon, parsley, pine, and lavender. 0.15%
Total terpenes content 1.00%
